A. Daimeries
(fl. 1887-ca, 1908)

A. Daimeries was a Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Crystallography at the University of Brussells in the 1890's and early 1900's, but seems to have published most of his work in the field of paleontology. He was a member of the Société Royale Malacologique at least as early as 1887, serving as president in 1900-1901. Drugman (1931) describes him as a born collector who had accumulated several extensive collections, of which the mineralogical one was the least important.

A small part of the mineral collection of A. Daimeries was purchased Julien Drugman, and the rest was acquired by the London mineral dealer Albert G.F. Gregory (ca.1864-1931) some time before 1931 (see Drugman, American Mineralogist, vol. 23, p. 139).
