Leon R. Owen
(1898-1969)

Leon Reeves Owen was born in Farmington, New Jersey on May 27, 1898, the son of Mary Sayer and Edwin Owen, a trolly conductor. He moved to California before 1918, living first in Elizabeth Lake. By 1920 he had moved to Glendale, where he married Marian N. ____ and they had a son and a daughter. He worked in Glendale as a gas fitter and mechanic; by 1930 he was foreman at a motor car company, and by 1936 he had been promoted to parts manager. He died on April 10, 1969, in Glendale, California.
