Benjamin Taylor
(1884-1974)

Benjamin Whittemore Taylor was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on July 22, 1884. In 1909 he was working as a clerk for the Earl & Prew Company, but by 1910 he had taken a job as a "bench hand" at a jewelry company in Attleborough, Massachusetts. Perhaps as a result of a shop accident, he listed "two fingers partly gone" on his draft registration; this may have excused him from service during World War I. As of 1918 through at least 1942 he was the manager of the Robbins Company jewelry shop in Attleborough. He married Maude E.Byers in 1907, but never had children. He died in Attleborough (Attleboro) on July 16, 1974.
