Edwin S. Terres
(1909-1988)

Edwin S. Terres was born in Moreland Twp., Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on March 18, 1909, the son of Mary (or Mamie) R. and Harry Y. Terres, a plumber. By 1920 the family had moved to Philadelphia, which is probably where Edwin was first exposed to mineralogy and mineral collecting. By 1930 they had moved to Moorestown, New Jersey, where Edwin (still unmarried) worked as a salesman. According to his mineral labels he later lived at 6928 Irving Avenue in Pennsauken, New Jersey. He died on March 16, 1988 in Merchantville, Camden County, New Jersey.
