Eugene D. Meyer
(1921-1995)

Eugene D. Meyer was born in Washington State on July 1, 1921, the son of Beulah and Maurice H. Meyer, a Dutch-born foreman at a flour mill. In 1930 the family was living in Pasadena, California. After a year of college Gene enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942. In 1960 he was listed as a member of the Mineralogical Society of America, living at 7637 Adwen Street in Downey, California. In 1966 he purchased specimens from the collection of Dr. Percy A. Foster, via The Bradleys.

He died October 27, 1995 in Redding, California.
