Edward M. “Ed” Bozman was born November 12, 1916, the son of Rose ____ (b.1882/3 in IL; m. 1902/3; remarried in 1924/5 to Anthony Angel) and Frank Edward Bozman (b. 1879; d. 1920), a chauffer for an undertaker. Siblings: Anna (b. 1904/5), Frank (1908-1966), Joseph (1910-1977), Elizabeth [Fiegel] (1912-2000), William (1914-1976), Edward (1916-1988), and Margaret [Zimmerman] (b. 1919/20). He married Grace J. Ed was the proprietor of the Mid-America Rock Shop in Chicago, Illinois. He began advertising in the October 1962 issue of Lapidary Journal, as "Chicago's newest rock shop," offering minerals, fossils and lapidary supplies. The shop was located at 6928 N. Clark Street until May 1973, when he moved to 4503 Milwaukee Avenue. His last ad appeared in September 1981; presumably Ed retired, as he was by then 65 years old. Ed Bozman died in Chicago on December 22, 1988; his wife died 10 years later.
