Lothar Bondy
(fl. 1885-1925)

Lothar Bondy was a mineral and meteorite dealer in Vienna in 1923-1925. He apparently owned and managed a steel foundry, and was mentioned in the Chemiker-Zeitung (1885) as a source of wrought iron and steel, "smelted direct from the ore." He published an abstract in the journal Engineering (1886) entitled "Extracting Wrought-Iron and Steel Directly from Ore." The prominent mineral collector Eduard Bally purchased specimens from him in 1900-1920. He was still in Prague as of 1918 (see the dated label), but moved to Vienna shortly thereafter.
