Charles E. Osborn
(1854-ca,1918)

Charles E. Osborn was born in Pennsylvania in 1854. In 1880, at the age of 26, he was working as a brass finisher in Philadelphia, perhaps restoring antique brass items, but by 1890 he had opened his curiosity shop at 1421 Fairmount Avenue in Philadelphia, and is listed in the 1890 Philadelphia City Directory. His label identifies him as a dealer in minerals, shells and stamps. He had been married and widowed by 1910 and was then living with his sister Rebecca in Philadelphia, calling himself an "Antiques dealer." He appears to have died before 1920.
