Will Frech
(1913-1998)

Wilfred J. "Will" Frech was born December 2, 1913 in Fresno, California, the son of Camelia Vesper and Jacob Frech, German immigrant vinyard farmers. Will was an oil chemist by profession, and in 1974 was honored by being appointed to the Presidents Club of the American Oil Chemists' Society. Will and his wife Jean (born February 2, 1916 in Minnesota; died October 2, 1993 in Fresno) were mineral collectors and part-time mineral dealers ("Frech Minerals") specializing in Namibian minerals. They had a room each year at the Travelodge during the Tucson Show in the 1970's and 1980's. Will died October 14, 1998 in Scott's Valley, California.
