Wilhelm Fuchs
(fl. 1900-1910?)

Wilhelm Fuchs was a mineral dealer at Badeplatz 1 in the city of Teplitz, Bohemia.

Poggendorff lists a Dr. Wilhelm Fuchs (1802-1853), chemist, who was an assayer in Tyrol, smelter supervisor in Schemnitz, and a Royal Hungarian minister for smelting and coinage. He wrote Friedrich Mohs [1773-1839] und sein Wirken in wissenschaftlicher Hinsicht; ein biographischer Versuch, entworfen und zur Enthullings feier seines Monumentes im st. st. Johanneums-Garten zu Gratz, published by Wilhelm Fuchs in Vienna, 1843. However, there is no mention of him as a mineral dealer, or living n Teplitz, and the style of the labels shown here is more recent--I would guess 1900-1910. Perhaps the labels are those of a son or grandson, or perhaps they are unrelated.
