WILLIAMS, George Huntington.
(1856 - 1894)

(Born: Utica, New York, U.S.A., 1856; Died: Balitmore, Maryland, U.S.A., 1894) American crystallographer & mineralogist.

Williams was educated at Amherst, graduating in 1878. He then went on to Heidelberg, receiving his Ph.D. in 1882. In 1891, he became professor of inorganic geology at Johns Hopkins University.
